The Sarbrae story began in 1958 with two miniature poodles from the Highland Sand lineage. We began breeding our Chanté and aimed for “pretty” with excellent temper. We finally bought a black called Sara and began in the show world of Poodles. At that time the middle AKC name for all our dogs was the Scotch Brae – hence the kennel name Sarbrae.

As years went along, we got stronger and we’ve had some superior winners at Poodle Club of America. In the credit column we have over 25 champion dogs – most in conformation but also many in obedience and agility. We still strive for the perfect poodle in Standards and miniatures, and to that end engage in all testing of our breeding stock.

Litters in miniatures (black) and Standards (white and black) are available generally once a year. All puppies are home raised with many hands-on experiences.
